Biography                            

Originally from the Chicago area, my job took us to New York and Florida, where I began my officiating career. We relocated to Indiana from Florida in 1998. I am a certified basketball official, and member of the I.H.S.A.A. as well as the Indiana, Crossroads, and Fall Creek Officials Associations.  I have officiated varsity basketball for 9 years. While in Florida, I officiated the girls’ 4A final district game, the equivalent to Indiana’s sectional.  I have worked both, 2 and 3-person mechanics.                                         

  I work on the east side of Indianapolis, in the corporate office for an athletic company, The Finish Line Inc.  I am married, have two children, and live in Fishers Indiana. As a Christian, I believe in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My actions on the court reflect this. Colossians 3:23 states "What ever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord".  

Officiating is more than a black and white rule book. An experienced official recognizes what is and isn't a foul. They understand the concept of advantage/disadvantage and it's effect on a play.  An example is talking a player out of the lane while the ball is above the top of the key and they are not involved in the play.
